Visitors from abroad are especially taken with the combination of friendly welcoming atmosphere and stunning scenery, and having once experience it come back again and again. In fact the number of famous names with a bolthole here would surprise you. You could well bump into actor Jeremy Irons and wife Sinead Cusack, who restored nearby Kilcoe Castle, for example, while doing your weekend shopping. The Saturday morning Farmers’ Market is a visit not to be missed.
Hereunder is a practical guideline to facilitate you and also a list of Emergency Numbers to have at hand to ensure peace of mind the minute you walk over the threshold. We have also added general information and suggested places to visit during your stay in West Cork.
Arrival/Departure:
We would ask you to arrive here between 4pm and 7pm. If you are unable to arrive before 7pm, please notify us in advance so that we can ensure that you are directed to your accommodation. Departure time is 10am on the day of departure.

Refuse Disposal:
Refuse and recycling area is at the back of the Reception Centre. Open in the morning from 11h00 to 13h00 and each evening from 19h00 to 21h00
Public Telephone:
There are several public telephones in the town. One at the Corner Bar which is just past the West Cork Hotel, another in Field’s Car Park and another by the Post Office in Market Street.
In case of emergency the Assembly Point is located at The Reception Area is clearly marked.
